BVA

Art is a vital expression of humanity, present since the dawn of civilization. Visual arts have continually shaped and nurtured culture throughout history. Expanding its academic horizons, IDPT-SCET introduces the Bachelor in Visual Arts program—designed for students passionate about creativity and innovation. This course, along with Architecture and Interior Design under IDPT-SCET, will create powerful interdisciplinary synergy.

The making of art goes far beyond technique. This course is built on a student-centric, choice-based approach and is enriched with liberal studies to cultivate a holistic artistic journey. Students will explore intuitive, analytical, and expressive aspects of creativity through a practical-aesthetic learning approach.

Objective: The BVA program aims to nurture visually sophisticated artists who are intellectually driven, ethically conscious, and culturally aware. Students will be trained to express their unique ideas confidently, while considering the historical, social, and cultural contexts of their work.

Course Duration: BVA is a 4-year full-time course. The first year is a common foundation, followed by three years of specialization. After the foundation year, students may choose from the following specializations based on seat availability and departmental criteria:

IDPT Mission

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
