The Shimla study tour began on 17th December with the train departing from Surat at 3:55 PM. The group reached Chandigarh on 18th December and continued their journey to Shimla by bus, arriving at 9:00 PM. . On the first day, students commenced their documentation work at 9:30 AM, on the following sites • Bishop Cotton School • State Library • Kalibari Temple • Bantony Castle • Gaiety Theatre The day concluded with a productive evening discussion at the hotel, where groups identified gaps in their work and strategized for improvement. The second day saw students addressing these gaps with great enthusiasm and commitment. Mentors closely monitored the progress, ensuring students stayed on task and adhered to the study tour guidelines. On the third day, students completed their remaining documentation tasks in the morning. After lunch, they explored additional sites they also explored colonial landmarks like the Viceregal Lodge and the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS). and shared feedback on their experiences. The day ended with a vibrant DJ night, development teamwork and fellowship among students The final day included a visit to local Shimla buildings and an interactive session with architect Shardia from Shardia Associates. This session provided students with valuable insights into architectural concepts and practical applications. The day concluded on a celebratory note with birthday celebrations for Hetal Madam and a student, Nishtha. The Student depart from Shimla by bus to Ambala Railway station and he group boarded the return train at 10:55 PM, marking the end of an enriching and memorable trip. Overall, the Shimla study tour was a blend of academic learning and personal growth. Students actively participated in all activities, gaining significant knowledge and creating cherished memories along the way.
