Overview:
A full-day workshop on the VISSIM Multimodal Traffic Simulation Software was conducted on Wednesday, 28th May 2025, for first-year M.Arch. (Urban Design) and M.Plan. (Urban & Regional Planning) students. The workshop aimed to provide practical exposure and simulation techniques in the domain of transportation planning using VISSIM software. The sessions were curated as part of the curriculum for the course "Transportation Planning and Urban Mobility Exercise."
The Workshop was conducted in 2 sessions
Session 1 – Introduction to Urban Mobility & VISSIM
Session 2 – VISSIM Interface and Stimulation Demonstration
Session 3 – Hands-on Exercise by Students
The lecture was well-received by the Students, sparking thoughtful discussions on the future of Traffic Stimulation. Students left with a deeper understanding of the complexities of Transportation Planning Process & development and a renewed commitment to fostering balanced growth across the Cities.
