Overview:
Transportation and urban mobility play a crucial role in shaping modern cities, influencing sustainability, efficiency, and quality of life. This expert lecture aims to provide valuable insights into the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in urban transportation planning, smart mobility solutions, and sustainable transport infrastructure. On 18th February, 2025, an Expert Lecture on “Transportation Planning & Urban Mobility” was conducted, focusing on Principals of Transportation Systems, Current Trends & Challenges faced by Indian Cities and Future of Urban Mobility in India. The event brought together experts, faculty member and students to discuss the importance of urban transport System in achieving balanced development and addressing socio-economic disparities across Indian Cities. The lecture was part of an ongoing knowledge enriching series aimed at exploring sustainable & Inclusive development initiatives in the Indian context.

Speaker Details:
The Session was conducted by an eminent speaker Ar. Sandeep Paul. Sandeep Paul is an Architect alumnus of IDPT – SCET & Urban designer alumnus of CEPT with nineteen years of work experience in street design, Place-making, Local area plans, Transit Oriented Development and multi-modal infrastructure. He is co-founder at The Urban Lab in Ahmedabad, he is involved in designing public spaces, interchanges and capacity building. His key interest lies in connecting urban design with transport. He also cherishes to contribute as an academician and a researcher.
