Overview:
The Sarvajanik School of Planning is pleased to announce an expert lecture on “Transportation Planning & Urban Mobility: Opportunities & Challenges”. This lecture is specifically organized for 35 students of 1st-year M.Plan.(URP) 7 M.Arch.(UD) to provide them with insights into the dynamic field of transportation planning and urban mobility.
Objective:
The primary objective of this expert lecture is to enhance the understanding of 1st-year M.Plan. students regarding the complexities, opportunities, and challenges associated with transportation planning and urban mobility. By bringing in an expert from the field, the lecture aims to provide practical insights, real-world examples, and critical analyses that will enrich students' academic knowledge and prepare them for future professional endeavors in urban planning.

Speaker Details:
The Lecture is conducted by Mr. Mustafa Sonasath, Manager at Surat Sitilink Limited. Mustafa is Transport Planning and Engineering Professional with more than 7 years of experience in various urban Transportation projects and research areas. He specialized in areas of Public Transport Planning and Scheduling, Mobility Management, Multi-modal Planning, Public Transport Operations and Management, Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS), Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS), Travel Demand Modelling and it’s Assessment, Strategic Planning, Land-use and Transport Integration, Transport Economics.
Mustafa completed his M.Tech in Infrastructure Engineering Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from C.K. Pithawalla, Surat. He had work with government and private organizations as a part of my profession. He also taught Transportation related courses in various universities as a visiting faculty.
Format:
The lecture will be conducted in a seminar format with a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Students are encouraged to actively participate, ask questions, and engage in discussions to make the most out of this learning opportunity.
